HELPING GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S LEADING BUSINESS ORGANISATION TO INCREASE SOCIAL MEDIA AND PRESS PERFORMANCE
The not-for-profit Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce has been supporting businesses and economic growth in Gloucestershire for well over 100 years.
The Chamber communicates with well over 3,000 businesses locally. Lacking the budget to advertise extensively, methods such as social media and press communications are ideal for reaching the target audience of local businesses and organisations.
We created and delivered a strategic plan to define and communicate the many benefits of Chamber membership and the important work that the Chamber is involved in. Key to the strategy was defining the Chambers target audiences and developing a content strategy to get the right messages to the right people.
At only £80 a year, the cost of Chamber membership is ridiculously small when compared to the benefits, we just needed to get the word out.
CAPEX have also supported the Chamber with business events, video production, and by providing a social media training course for Chamber members that was sold-out to capacity.
In the first six months of managing the Chamber’s social media accounts, followers, social reach and engagement all saw sharp increases. In particular, the Chambers Twitter following quickly rose by nearly 1,000 followers. The Chamber also had editorial articles printed in the local press (Gloucestershire Echo) for the first time in years.
